If photographer in transport and logistics I regularly work on special projects. One of them was the construction of a new bridge on the A12 between Duiven and Arnhem. Rijkswaterstaat often organizes special viewing days for the press for such large construction projects.
The construction site was right next to the highway. Large cranes, concrete trucks and dozens of craftsmen worked together on this impressive project. I recorded the work in a real and honest way. Not posed, but pure and in action.
This assignment is a good example of what I do as reportage photographer in transport and logistics. I show what really happens, whether it is on a construction site, in a warehouse or on the road. I not only show the work, but especially the people behind it.
